Krishna Pothugunta is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of IT, Analytics, and Operations at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. He completed his PhD in Information Technology and Management at the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.
His research focuses on human AI interaction, large language model evaluation, cultural representativeness, responsible AI, and multimodal data analysis. His work develops computational approaches for evaluating algorithmic systems in organizational and societal contexts, with applications in digital platforms, healthcare content, AI governance, and LLM personalization. He has five years of industry experience across IT consulting, healthcare operations, and financial analytics. He worked at Infosys Technologies Limited, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Capital Fortunes Private Limited in roles involving systems engineering, business analysis, requirements gathering, financial modeling, and technology implementation. He also taught for four years in India, where he worked with undergraduate and graduate management students. These industry and teaching experiences continue to shape his interest in applied analytics, technology management, and the organizational implications of artificial intelligence.
